Nigeria’s former CBN Governor, Adamu Ciroma is dead

A former governor of the Central Banks of Nigeria, Adamu Ciroma, is dead.

According to Daily Trust, family sources said the elder statesman died in an Abuja hospital on Thursday after a protracted illness.

The deceased was also a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party, and also the finance minister during the first term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The elder statesman was said to have died at Turkiush Hospital in Abuja at the age of 84.
