why you must show integrity

Published

on

Its about 5:00am in the morning when the roads are open and there is free movement. Just then we arrive at a traffic light showing red but our vehicle comes to a standstill (of course red means STOP). I know right! ‘Hello there, its 5:00am’ I went right ahead to ask why the driver had stopped while other vehicles drove past which led to a conversation that changed my perspective forever.

Can you remember a time in your life when you were asked to do something which was outside of the lines of what you felt was right?  What decision did you make? Did you do the right thing by keeping your integrity or did you go off the path and do the wrong thing? It might be popular and trending, however, out rightly wrong.

Why you must show integrity?

Trust: If you are a person that has integrity, your personal relationships and professional relationships will be genuine and the people around you will know they can trust you with anything.

Responsible:  If you have integrity, people will give you higher level responsibilities because they know and feel like you will always do the right thing.

Respect: If you stand up for doing the right thing, people at times may not always agree with what you do, but they will have a great respect for you, that you stand up for what you believe in.

Authentic: With integrity, you are looked at as real person, someone with class.  People with high integrity never have to look over their shoulder for anything they have done.  They can feel good about the choices they make.

Whatever you do in life, always stay in check and never compromise. Your integrity is more important than your bank balance. There will be many occasions when you might be tempted to take a shortcut. Make a decision because it is the right and decent thing to do. A person with a high level of integrity is classy and class never goes out of style.
