Mother And Baby Killed By Stray Bullet During A Military Raid In Bayelsa

A military raid in Ben ama and Tengele ama communities, Oluasiri clan in Nembe local government area of Bayelsa state has resulted in the death of a nursing mother and her two months old baby.  The Military joint taskforce were said to have stormd the village yesterday, June 7th, to arrest some militants.

The mother and her two months old girl were hit by a stray bullet during a crossfire. The bullet reportedly hit the two months old girl and passed into her mother. They died instantly.
