Meet Jamil Abubakar, The Unknown Husband Of Dangote’s Daughter

With extravagant images from #FaMil2o18, the over the top knot tying ceremony of Fatima Aliko Dangote , making rounds all over the web, one question has been on the mind of many Nigerians : ‘Who is the lucky guy that had the guts not only break into the garden,  but steal a flower from the garden of the richest man in Africa? ‘

His name is Jamil Abubakar and trust us, he is also an O.B.O. Jamil is the first son of former Inspector General of Nigerian police, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar. Jamil is a graduate of Kingston University where he studied Computing Information Systems and Multimedia.

The Kingston graduate, who is now a pilot, survived a deadly air crash a couple of years ago. Jamil had wanted to be a pilot ever since he was four years old because of his love for speed. While he does have a number of celebrity friends, Jamil surprisingly doesn’t party with them a lot. Some of the A- List friends of Fatima’s boo are M.I., D-Banj,  K-Cee, P-Square, Vector, Wande Coal, Ice-Prince, Phyno, Wizkid and Davido.

Phyno, Wizkid and Davido all performed at Jamil’s lush ceremony. In his past interviews,  Jamil had mentioned the possibility of opening a record label in the future. A while before Jamil even knew Bill Gates would be attending his wedding, he said that he is a ‘one-wife person’ and that he would ‘want to marry for the right reason’.

When he’s not flying nor hanging out with celebrities, Jamil is collecting luxury cars and designer watches. Jamil even has his own custom license plate ‘JAMBOY’.

We are sure it wasn’t easy for Dangote to let go of his daughter’s hand but as he said in the one minute video he made for her, he has done his homework. Apparently Jamil had been a son to the mogul before he even knew he would be his father-in-law. How sweet is that!

There’s definitely more to Jamil and we are sure we will learn more about the pilot that stole the heart of Dangote’s flower as the years unfold.
