Alexis Sanchez is now the highest-paid footballer in the Premier League, following his move from Arsenal to Manchester United.

United will pay £35million for Sanchez — a £20m transfer fee to Arsenal and £15m to the player’s agent, Fernando Felicevich.

The player himself will earn £350,000 a week plus an extra £100,000 a week for image rights over the course of a four-and-a-half-year contract.

Sanchez will also receive £7.5m a year for four years as a signing-on fee.

The Chilean said his goodbyes to team-mates and backroom staff in preparation for his move to United on Friday night, after both clubs finalized an agreement on his transfer.

He is now set to undergo his medicals on Sunday at United’s Carrington training ground.
