The University of Essex is inviting applications for Latin American Scholarships. These scholarships are available for studying MA Translation, Interpreting and Subtitling or MA Translation and Professional Practice.

The University of Essex is a public research university in Essex, England. It was established in 1963, welcomed its first students in 1964 and received its Royal Charter in 1965.

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application deadline: June 1, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing MA Translation, Interpreting and Subtitling or MA Translation and Professional Practice.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships
  • Scholarship Award: Five scholarships of £5,000 each are available for students.
  • Number of Scholarships: There are five scholarships available.
  • Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Citizens of Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements: In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must:
    Hold an unconditional offer of admission to either the MA Translation, Interpreting & Subtitling or the MA Translation and Professional Practice (Spanish or Portuguese strands) by the closing date for the scholarship;
    Be fully self-funding your studies;
    Be a national of or permanently domiciled in one of the following countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela
    Applicants from other English-speaking islands in the Caribbean will also be considered
