I have 8 tips for you today, and I’ll start with: ASSOCIATIONS.

In our younger years, we made friends out of convenience- we were in the same class or we shared a room. In the real world however, you must be intentional. Pick your circle the way a coach picks a team. You’ll often need to go out of your way to create and nurture these relationships. Volunteer to serve at events. Seek ways to be valuable to mentors, associates and destiny partners.

The second point is PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. WORK ON YOURSELF! Harness your powers of self-awareness, discernment & critical thinking. Read books and engage in stimulating conversations with your friends concerning these skills.

The 3rd point is – BE SOLUTIONS ORIENTED! Problems will always be around us. We get paid for solving them. Train yourself to see only solutions.

NUMBER 4 – TASTE THE WORLD! You might not YET know what you want to do with your life and that’s okay. Some of us had to taste many different pies to find the one we were willing & best suited to commit to. So don’t sit still. You’re young. Go and try many different passions quickly and then decide.

NUMBER 5 – LEARN THE INTERNET. The internet is the language of this global economy. Learn how to contribute and derive value from it.

NUMBER 6 – LEARN THE SYSTEMS OF THIS WORLD. Study how investments work. Travel to other countries and learn the impact of one economy on the rest. Understand the basics of local and international laws. LEARN THE SYSTEMS OF THIS WORLD. Study the impact of govt, history, science, religion, politics and position yourself advantageously.

FINALLY, NUMBER 7 – GIVE BACK! Train your mind to build your sense of contribution to God, society, friends, country and the world

It’s been a pleasure facilitating this tonight. Thank you for having me.
