FG Finally Fix Date For Minimum Wage Bill Transmission

The federal government after meeting three times with organised labour, on Tuesday January 8, 2019 agreed to transmit a minimum wage review bill to the national assembly by january 23, 2019

The agreement was reached after about three hours of a meeting with organised labour chaired by the minister of Labour and employment chris Ngige

this decision comes after the Nigeria labour congress with itssucceeded in hosting nationwide protests civil society affiliates, prenultimate strike

With the decision of government to transmit the bill before the 2019 election it is not clear if labour will have a course to threaten strike should the National assembly fails to use the twenty four days before elections to read the document.
