Fear is no ally, Failure is no option.

What if I fail?

What if I fly?

What if I am not successful?

What if I am not good enough?

What if my peers succeed while I drag behind?

I loved the idea of being an accountant while I was in secondary school and so I went right ahead to the commercial department even though my calculations at the time were poor (Well, I try now). For all I cared, accountants were the only successful people in life, and of course, they were right next to Aliko Dangote, I had to be rich too. My parents had advised me to follow my passion and so I switched to do arts however, reluctantly. How does switching to do the arts put money on the table, I thought but in no time, my grades were better for it and I aced my exams eventually.

Looking back now, I worried my head over nothing. All of those thoughts were only because I was too scared to fail, I still failed. Failure taught me a whole lot of lessons but I realized later that it was all part of my learning process. I had to accept it and I had to face it to overcome it.

I had read up on what Joyce Meyer once said “DO IT AFRAID”,  but I did not understand at the time. Sometimes last year, I stumbled on business coach, Omilola Oshikoya’s Instagram page where I saw the phrase again and I went ahead to research on every material that was linked to that phrase which greatly impacted my life forever.

It was simple; it is choosing to do it despite the feelings of fear, anxiety or uncertainty to fufill your dreams eventually. In other words, Do it anyway.

Thomas Edison made at least a thousand attempts to create the light bulb, however, we can read and tell his success story today.

Fear would only hold you back from moving into areas that would enrich your life and by extension, the lives of other persons around you. Never allow fear to stop you from smashing your goals and sooner than you know it, you become an observer in your own life.

Do it afraid, because the world needs what you have to offer.

And then, my greatest quote of all time, a little something to inspire you;

Our Greatest Fear —Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
