Port-Harcourt based singer, Duncan Mighty in an interview with NET TV, talked about his relationship with international singer, Wizkid, and how working with him on a song turned his career around.
This puts to bed the debate on whether Wizkid’s vocals on the song was what resurrected Duncan Mighty’s career or not.
‘I just want to say a big thank you to Starboy Wizkid because after Fake Love, it was a big turn around’, the singer said.
‘I always tell everybody that producing a song with Wizkid is not like the usual music business where two artistes come together to do business or those who just want to know you for the music sake. There are few artistes who are like family to me- most of these collaborations are not collaborations where your management needs to go see each other. It’s about visualising the magic which the artiste can bring to the song, and I [only] told Wizzy, “Mehn, this song, na only your voice I dey hear inside the song.” So shout out to Starboy and my crew.’
Speaking on his new work with Tiwa Savage, Duncan Mighty revealed how proud he is to have collaborated with the diva whom he rated as the best in the game.
‘Tiwa Savage is the best in the game. This collaboration is the best after I had fake love, I have had several collaborations after Fake Love but I am so proud of this one. Tiwa gave her best shot at this. It’s a big song and I want to say a big thank you to Tiwa- she deserves billions of accolades,’ he said.
