Covenant University represents Nigeria at CFA Institute research challenge

David Oyedepo’s founded Covenant University has emerged the first place winner in Nigeria’s stage of global CFA Institute research challenge.

The Ota-based university beat the University of Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University which emerged second and third place winners, respectively.

Covenant University will represent Nigeria at the regional CFA competition in Dublin, Ireland, on April 4 and 5.

Ahmadu Bello University, Babcock University, Lagos Business School, University of Abuja, University of Ibadan were among the eight universities took part in the competition held in Lagos on Saturday.

NAN reports that the CFA Institute research challenge is the world most prestigious investment research competition among university students globally.

The CFA competition in Nigeria was sponsored by Zenith Bank in partnership with CFA Society in Nigeria.

The competition is aimed at promoting best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts.

It also promotes ethics and best practices in investment research through hands-on mentoring and presentation.
