The High court sitting in Kaduna Wednesday morning adjourned the case instituted against the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Ibraheem El Zakzaky to August 2, 2018 for hearing following the failure of the prosecution to serve the 3rd and 4th defendants.
The 3rd and 4th defendants were not made known in court papers. The Shiite leader and his wife were charged with eight counts bordering on culpable homicide, unlawful assembly, and disturbance of public peace, among other allegations.
His arraignment Wednesday morning created palpable tension in Kaduna with the police blocking major highways in the city to stop supporters of the Islamic sect from protesting.

The police action created panic in the city with some people staying indoors to avoid being caught up in a possible clash between police and members of the Shiite sect.
