Christian, Hausa Youths Clash In Bauchi Over Alleged Murder

Angry Christian youths in Bauchi have blocked major roads in the state to protest the death of their colleague in Sabin kaura.

The protests are allegedly a retaliation to the killing of their colleague by some Muslim youths.

According to sources, several schools and shops were hurriedly closed down because of the ensuing pandemonium, and a commercial motorcyclist believe to be of Hausa extraction narrowly escape being lynch by the angry youths.

The incident occurred after the youths had buried the deceased at Yelwa Christian cemetery in Bauchi.

Reports say that the situation forced road uses to seek alternative route to escape unhurt.

DSP Datti Kamal Abubakar, Bauchi State police command spokesman confirm the incident, saying policemen have already been dispatched in the area.

He told newsmen that the perpetrators must face the wrath of the law if found guilty.

Sources say that the deceased was killed after an argument with a Hausa colleague shortly over consumption of cannabis in Sabin Kaura,a suburb of Bauchi.
