Super Eagles Forward, Alex Iwobi has spoken up about the team’s 2-1 loss to England in a warm up match at Wembley on Saturday.

According to him, the 2-1 defeat was not a desired result but a wake up call to the team ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Super Eagles conceded two goals courtesy strikes from Gary Cahill and Harry Kane in the first half before responding with an Alex Iwobi strike after the break.

“Love to all the Naija supporters that came out to Wembley today and to all the Nigeria’s supporters around the world.

“Not the result we wanted but we push forward to Russia.” Iwobi tweeted.

Nigeria will face Czech Republic in their next warm up game before flying to Russia for the World Cup proper.
