Actress Taraji P Henson Will Get Her Own Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

We all know Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyon n “Empire” or Melinda Gayle in the Tyler Perry’s “Acrimony”.

This beautiful actress will be getting her very own star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame, on Monday, January 28, 2019 as announced by Producer Of the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Ana Martinez.

 

Ana Martinez who announced this on Friday, January 18, 2019 via her official Twitter page, said “we can only can only say, ‘worth it!’ carefully considering her role as Melinda Gayle, in Tyler Perry’s movie, ‘Acrimony,’ which was released in 2018.” She wrote;

“Taraji P Henson is a powerful woman and a powerful actress. She is an entertainer that fans cannot take their eyes off of due to her great acting ability.

“We welcome her bright star on our Walk Of Fame.”

Taraji P. Henson who starred in movies including The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Date Night and the 2010 remake of The Karate Kid, also has an extensive career in television and will be honored in the category of motion pictures with a star on Hollywood Boulevard.

Washington DC-born Henson began her Hollywood career working as an extra in television shows before getting her big break in the 2001 comedy-drama film Baby Boy, starring alongside Tyrese Gibson.

In 2008 she starred opposite Brad Pitt in David Fincher’s The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, playing the mother of a disabled child.Henson was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actress for the role. Last year she voiced a character in Disney’s animated film Ralph Breaks The Internet and will appear in comedy What Men Want in February.

For each star installed on the Walk Of Fame, the sponsor of the nominee must pay 40,000 US dollars (£31,000) to the Hollywood Historic Trust. The money goes towards the installation of the monument as well as the maintenance of the Walk Of Fame.
