5 ways to Enjoy Life More

Published

on

Live, laugh, learn, love, lead…… sounds cliché right? But by doing these, we can make a positive difference to the people around us, to our community, and even to the world at large.

Live. Life is a gift. It is to be experienced, embraced, and enjoyed even in the tough times. Write your life story as BIG as you want to live it. Boredom is the biggest killer and a perfect way to get depressed. Once you get to habit of trying new things and getting new experiences you eliminate being bored and you ensure that there is always something that keeps your mind occupied. The trick is to live in the moment and be focused on the activity you just do.

Laugh. Laughter is an instant mood-lifter and joy enhancer. Like someone once said: “If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. Do not be afraid to laugh and laugh out loud. Always finding something positive in any life situation, being able to make fun of yourself, and laugh with others is the mindset you want to build and nurture.

Love. Love is not a feeling. It is not a noun either. Its a verb. If you take action each day to love your family, neighbors, coworkers, or your clients, you will enjoy life more. Love who you are. Love what you do. Love the people around you.

Learn. Learning equals growth. It sparks new ideas. It creates energy. And best of all, it is fun. Bottom line, the day you stop learning is the day you stop enjoying life. By learning new things, by broadening your horizons you are also increasing your ability to cope with unexpected and unknown.

Lead. You don’t have to have the title of “leader” to lead. Lead yourself in trying something new. Lead your family into positive experiences. Lead coworkers or clients into new insights. The key to making your leadership joyful is to make sure it’s not about domination or dictatorship, but about direction. Direct others towards a more fulfilling life and ultimately, you will enjoy life more as well.
